The Bee Whisperer
Chad and Kai were outside the other day and Chad saw Kai squatting down by some flowers and doing something with his pointer finger. Chad called over to him and asked what he was doing. Kai said, "Just petting a bumble bee." Chad jumped up and told Kai not to touch it but the bee flew away before he got there. Chad told Kai that Kai was the only person he knows to ever have pet a bumble bee and asked Kai what it felt like. Kai said it had fur like Scout (our cat). There you have it! That's what the soft fuzzy black and yellow back of a live buzzing bumble bee feels like!!!

How amazing that Kai could pat a Bumble Bee's back. It shows what an amazing boy he is.
And I continue to be amazed that he can read !!!!
I have fed my bees from my hand, with a little drop of syrup on it. But even I have to admit that I had a glove on. Just because I am chicken. Good for you Kai. When you are older, Aunt Heather will teach you how to raise bees!!
