This is an interview with John McGinley (Dr. Cox from the show Scrubs) whose son has Down Syndrome. I missed the national "Spread the Word to End the Word" day on 3/31/09, but I can still inform you all about what it was. It was a campaign to stop people from using the R-word, or Retard/Retarded in common conversations. I figure I can expose you all to what I am learning and what has become part of our lives....

Thanks for posting this interview. He did an excellent job communicating.
by the way: I know President Obama is busy with economics and world stuff. I know he's got lots of staffers and volunteers who read and answer his mail and email.
BUT.....
I haven't received a resonse to my email to President Obama about his bigoted statement about the Special Olympics. The silence of this administration speaks louder than their many words.
