party night
Last night when Chad and I were going upstairs to bed we opened Kai's door to check on him. It was almost 10 and we hadn't heard a peep for a couple of hours. When we opened the door the light was on (a new trick he's learned to do) and he was sitting on his bed surrounded by every single book from his book shelf....about 50 books! He said, "I'm not tired." (well that was the gist of it). The amazing thing is that he got all those books on his bed without making noise! We have the monitor on and our house isn't very sound proof. He was just up there partying away and very pleased that he didn't have to sit in the dark and go to sleep!!

Do you remember the 80's song "Ladies Night"? It goes, "well it's ladies night oh yes it's ladies night, it's ladies night - oh what a night"! The music is cheesy and goes with the words. Worth youtubing.
Whenever the kids do stuff like what you described, we sing this to them inserting "Babies" for "Ladies".
It makes us laugh.

Silas does stuff like that all the time, pretty funny... and not much we can do to stop it.
Unless we want to take absolutely everything out of his room... But I'm not really sure that's a great idea either.
I guess it's been awhile since I read even my own blog comments (or any others for that matter!) Heather, that song/video is wicked funny!
It'd be funny to see what Silas would come up with to do if he were in a bare room with just his bed. I'm sure he would blow my mind!
